Long before cars, trucks, airplanes, and buses, trains ruled the land. Traveling on rails, these giant machines carried freight shipments and passengers all across the United States. Trains used to be powered by steam, but now can run on electricity or diesel fuel. To find out more about these behemoths, visit Dearborn Public Library and check out a few of these titles.

Children's Book Week - Book Trailer #1
This is Children's Book Week (more on that later), and what better way to celebrate than pass on trailers about children's books. Book trailers, just like movie trailers, are video commercials. There a lot of fun ones out there, more that we will have time this week to feature. If you want to find more, try searching for 'book trailers for children' on YouTube or visit specific publishers' sites, like Scholastic or Simon and Schuster or HarperCollins.
Today we are featuring Cat Secrets by Jef Czekaj. If you like Mo Willem's Pigeon, you'll like Jef's Cat.
Check out the book trailer, then check out the book. Just don't let Cat Secrets out of the bag!
