The Goose Is Getting Fat

Time to register for a holiday favorite, GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATING Tweens (that's all you hip 8-12 year-olds) can register to cover a yummy house with candy of every flavor and color by calling the Children's Help Desk of the Henry Ford Centennial Library at 943-2345.

Also, babies ages 6-24 months should use their sign language abilities to ask a caregiver to register for the December series of Mother Goose Storytime and the Henry Ford Centennial Library.

Looking for more info about programs to fill your December and January calendar? Check out the printable flyer at the Library website.

On this, a historic day, I am pleased to announce our youngest, most long-eared President-Elect....

MAX!

The children have spoken. Max is looking forward to his term in the "Tree House" and is already assembling his cabinet to begin work on his campaign promise of "DRAGON SHIRTS AND CHOCOLATE CHICKENS FOR ALL!"

Congratulations Max (and Ruby, who will surely be a loud voice in her seat as Presiding Officer on the storyhour room floor!)

Skippyjon Jones, Pigeon, Paddington and Babymouse have made their concession speeches gracefully and eloquently. They all wish Max a successful term in office.

Vote for Books

The line for today's poll at the library is shorter than the one your parents have to stand in. While your parents make history this year, you too can voice your opinion at the library. Vote for your favorite book character at the library and you can enter in a drawing for a fantastic prize. Here is an impartial look at the ballot to help you decide.
